We recommend coming at least 15 minutes early for your first class. Other than that, if you are here 5 minutes before your class starts, you are good to go. If you are not here when class starts, we may give your space to someone on the wait list.
For all Bike classes, unfortunately, no. Once the Bike classes have started, the door shuts and we cannot let anyone else into the studio. This is for your safety (it's really dark in there!) and for the enjoyment of all of the other riders. On the Barre side, if there is still a space in the Barre classes, you may be asked to sit out a section and warm up on your own, and no one will be allowed to come into the class after 10 minutes, but there is a chance you will be able to get in. If you know you're going to be late, give us a ring and we will try to get you into the next class!
Starting May 1, 2013, all month unlimited pass holders who do not cancel their reservations at least one hour before class starts will be charged $10. If you are using a class pass you will lose that class.
If it is more than an hour before the class starts, you will get an email. You can always check to see where you are on the list online. If it is less than an hour and you live close, you may want to pop by and see if someone has cancelled last minute - you will get first dibs over anyone who walks in. If you are on the wait list and can't make it to the studio without a ton of notice, please remove yourself from the list. Once you are in the class, we have to charge you for your space.
Yourself. We provide mats, towels, props, and everything else you need for class.
Water. You can buy it for $2 at the studio or fill up water bottles in our sink.
Feet. Bring them. As for what's on them, for barre, we recommend wearing socks with grippers on the bottom, which we sell at the studio for $10, or going barefoot. For bike, if you have cycling shoes with SPD clips, bring 'em! If not, sneakers are great.
Come ready to sweat and have fun!
For the bike classes, try to avoid pants that are too loose and flowy.
For the barre classes, because your feet may be in the air at times we recommend wearing something that will keep you comfortably covered.
Biker Barre has a changing area, a half bath and a full bath. The shower has everything you need to get ready for work, brunch, or post-workout drinks. We provide towels, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, flat iron, and all of the other things you might need!
